Boating DTF Transfer

Boating DTF Transfer

DTF (Direct-to-Film) heat transfer is revolutionizing the custom apparel and product decoration industry with its vibrant, durable prints and versatility. This method allows boat enthusiasts to showcase their passion by adding their boat’s name to various items like t-shirts, tumblers, water bottles, and koozies. Unlike traditional screen printing, DTF transfers offer sharp, high-resolution designs that maintain their quality over time, even on different materials and surfaces. The process involves printing the design onto a special film, applying adhesive powder, and then heat-pressing it onto the chosen item, ensuring a professional and lasting finish.

Customers can easily upload their boat name artwork through your product design editor or take advantage of the free design service when placing an order. With same-day production available for orders placed before 2 PM EST, there’s a fast turnaround to get personalized products into customers’ hands quickly. Whether they’re preparing for a boating event, celebrating a new vessel, or simply wanting to add a custom touch to their gear, DTF heat transfers offer a convenient, high-quality solution for every boat enthusiast.

Mother’s Day is around the corner

Mother’s Day is around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to celebrate the incredible women who fill our lives with love, wisdom, and warmth. What better way to honor Mom than by spending a day on the water, surrounded by family, laughter, and the beauty of nature?

As we set sail, let’s embrace the adventure while keeping safety at the heart of the experience. Whether it’s making sure everyone wears a life jacket, checking the weather, or ensuring the boat is in top condition, a little preparation goes a long way in creating a carefree and joyful outing.

From peaceful cruising to exciting water activities, there’s something for every family to enjoy. Pack Mom’s favorite snacks, play her favorite songs, and make this day unforgettable. It’s not just about the destination—it’s about the love, connection, and shared memories that float along with us.

And don’t forget to create a beautiful Mother’s Day lettering gift to make the day extra special! A heartfelt, hand-lettered message expressing gratitude and love will be something Mom treasures forever.

So here’s to the moms who are our anchors, our navigators, and our guiding stars. May your Mother’s Day be filled with fun, safety, and the kind of happiness that sails with you long after the boat docks.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there!

Spring Pre-Launch Checklist

Spring has arrived, and we’re here to help you kick off your boating season smoothly with our Pre-Launch Checklist! Here’s everything you need to prepare before setting sail:

1. Boat Registration

  • Verify that your boat license or registration documents are valid and onboard before launch.

2. Safety Equipment

  • Refer to the Safe Boating Guide to ensure all required safety equipment is present.
  • Check expiration dates on flares and fire extinguishers.

3. Life Jackets

  • Ensure you have properly sized, wearable life jackets for each passenger.
  • Inspect for mildew, rot, tears, or damage to straps and seams. Replace any damaged items.

4. Required Documents

  • For boats with engines of 10 HP or greater, ensure you have:
    • A Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card.
    • Government-issued photo ID.
  • For boats with a VHF radio, carry the Restricted Operator Certificate – Maritime.
  • Check regional regulations for any additional requirements, such as a Harbour License.

5. First-Aid Kit

  • Restock supplies that were used last season or have expired.

6. Fittings

  • Inspect thru-hull fittings below the waterline for tightness.
  • Ensure sea valves operate freely.
  • Confirm the boat plug is in good condition and properly installed before launch.

7. Winter Damage

  • Examine non-metallic thru-hulls for brittleness or cracks caused by winter ice.
  • Inspect hoses for signs of freezing, splitting, or loosening.

8. Fuel System

  • Check fuel fittings and hoses for cracks or stress and replace if necessary.

9. Electronic Gear

  • Install fresh batteries in portable devices such as radios, GPS, and flashlights.
  • Inspect wiring for lights, the horn, and other onboard equipment.

10. Dock and Anchor Lines

  • Check for chafing or wear, and replace worn lines.

11. Boat Trailer

  • Inspect trailer tires for wear and ensure they are properly inflated.
  • Examine the trailer frame for rust and inspect wheel bearings, repacking if needed.
  • Test trailer lights to ensure they function before towing.

12. Oil Inspection

13. Sailboat Rigging

  • Inspect for corrosion or wear and check for leaks around chain plate mountings on the deck.

14. Charts and Maps

  • Verify that your navigational charts and waterway guides are current and accurate.

15. Boat Insurance

  • If you’re uninsured, call or email us for a quote.

Boat Owners: It could be time to buy new registration decals

Summer boating season ending is just around the corner, and so is the deadline for renewing boat and watercraft registration decals. In Kentucky, all boat registrations expire in May for the following year.

In February, owners of boats and watercraft received a postcard notifying them that the Department of Licensing (DOL) will no longer send paper renewal reminders, as funding for printing and mailing these reminders has been eliminated. The postcard encouraged owners to sign up online at https://drive.ky.gov/Vehicles/Pages/Boats.aspx to receive renewal reminders via email.

DOL will send email renewal reminders in May to those who have registered for this service. To receive a reminder, boat owners must sign up on the DOL website no later than May. Those who sign up after this deadline will not receive a renewal reminder until the following year.

Boat registrations can be renewed online or in person at a local vehicle licensing office. For those opting to renew in person, please ensure to note the registration number located on the bow of the boat or watercraft, as this information will be needed at the office.

Submarine Day, March 17th

This holiday has been celebrated every March 17th for God knows how long. It is this day that it hails as a day for the boat commonly called a “Sub.” For military boats, Submarine day is always celebrated April 11th as it was documented since the 1900. Perhaps March 17th is for the hero of the Subs?

You can celebrate by getting your boat ready for the water those still in cold weather. We are all about boating so we are giving away free shipping until March 20th regardless of your purchase amount. Here’s your coupon code: subdayxo.
